When Terminal says that it's done, the volume will have the same name as the installer you downloaded, such as Install macOS Catalina. Terminal shows the progress as the bootable installer is created. When prompted, type Y to confirm that you want to erase the volume, then press Return. Terminal doesn't show any characters as you type your password. When prompted, type your administrator password and press Return again. If it has a different name, replace MyVolume in these commands with the name of your volume. These assume that the installer is still in your Applications folder, and MyVolume is the name of the USB flash drive or other volume you're using. Type or paste one of the following commands in Terminal. Open Terminal, which is in the Utilities folder of your Applications folder. Make sure that it has at least 12GB of available storage and is formatted as Mac OS Extended.

This tutorial will help you create a bootable USB flash drive for your Mac on a Windows computer. You will then set Format: Mac OS Extended (Journeled). When you first boot the macOS flash drive installer and open Disk Utility, you will select the Fat32 hackintosh partition you made in Step 1.11 and click Erase. Before you begin installing Mac OS there are two important things you need to know before you begin. Highlight and drag the install DVD into the Source file path. Once it appears on the left hand side in Disk Utility, click on the Restore tab. Pop in your OS X install DVD and wait for it to mount.
